A high-profile pro-Taliban cleric as well as more than a dozen civilians were killed in an explosion outside a mosque in the city of Herat in western Afghanistan in Friday.
As per the reports, the blast went off in the Guzargah Mosque in Herat during Friday congressional prayers.
There was no immediate claim of the responsibility of the attack.
However, the previous mosque attacks have been claimed by the armed group ISIL.
ISIS holds no territory in Afghanistan but has carried out a series of blast attacks against religious, ethnic minorities in Afghanistan and Taliban.
