Bihar: On Monday, February 12, the district president of AIMIM (All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen), Abdul Salam, was shot dead in Bihar’s Gopalganj district.
According to reports, four assailants riding two motorcycles opened fire on Salam.
This is the second killing of an AIMIM leader in Bihar within a short span, following the assassination of Arif Jamal, the party’s district president in Siwan, in December 2023.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, urging thorough investigations into the incidents and demanding justice for the victims.
