Srinagar: On Tuesday night, Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, and Gulmarg in north Kashmir reported comparable temperatures of minus 5.0°C, amidst an extended dry spell across the region.
As per details shared by the meteorological department, the temperature in Srinagar was below normal by 3.1°C and above normal by 2.6°C in Gulmarg.
In south Kashmir; Qazigund, the gateway town of valley, recorded a minimum of minus 4.4°C against minus 2.6°C on the previous night, and below-normal by 1.3°C.
While the top tourist destination of Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 6.3°C against minus 4.4°C on the previous night, above normal by 0.7°C, Kokernag logged a minimum of minus 2.4°C against minus 1.2°C on the previous night, above normal by 1.6°C.
In north Kashmir, Kupwara recorded a low of minus 4.7°C against minus 4.5°C on the previous night, below-normal by 2.0°C.
Jammu recorded a minimum of 4.8°C against 5.1°C on previous night, below normal by 2.6°C.
Pir Panchal’s Banihal recorded a low of minus 1.4°C and Chenab’s Bhaderwah minus 0.2°C.
