South Africa Takes Unilateral Stand in Genocide Case Against Israel

Published

on

South Africa has asserted its intention to independently address the genocide case filed against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) stating that additional complaints during this critical time might result in session postponements.

The South African government urged Arab and Islamic countries to avoid formally joining it in the lawsuit due to time constraints.

“The South African government wants to complete this lawsuit alone and without partners because the date of the court session is scheduled for Friday, while the preliminary session begins the day after tomorrow, Thursday,” the government said.

Earlier, 63 countries backed South Africa’s case.
