North Kashmir’s Gurez Receive Light Snowfall

Srinagar: Higher reaches of the Kashmir valley received light snowfall on Friday night breaking the 50 days prolonged Dry spell.

As per reports, light snowfall was reported at Gurez valley and Kilshay Top Tulail village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora.

Further, as per MeT, the last night snowfall decreased the coldwave across the valley by increasing the minimum night temperature.

Moreover, Kashmir’s Capital recorded a minimum temperature of 0.2 degree Celsius.

Qazigund, gateway town of Kashmir valley in south Kashmir recorded -2.0-degree Celsius night temperature. Pahalgam, Kashmir’s famous tourist resort recorded a lowest mercury of -0.6 degree Celsius. Kokernag, also recorded a lowest temperature of -1.2-degree Celsius.

In addition, MeT has predicted generally dry weather till 20th January with chances of light snowfall at higher reaches of the valley on 16th and 17th January.
