Israel Calls India Over Red Sea Threat

Published

Israel has asked India for assistance over the rising Houthi attacks in the Red Sea as the US announced a coalition with 12 countries against Houthi.

Since the Israel-Palestine war escalated, Houthi fighters carried out several attacks on Isreali-linked ships in the Red Sea, prompting several major international companies to halt sailing in the Red Sea.

As per reports, India’s Prime Minister Modi held a telephone conversation with Israel, expressing concerns about the safety of maritime traffic and promised humanitarian assistance.

Earlier, the US announced a coalition with 12 countries including the U.K., Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Seychelles, against the Houthis.

As Israel killed nearly 20,000 Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, Houthis say that the attack won’t stop until Israel ends bombing.
