Ramban: Authorities in J&K have installed an AI-Based Facial Recognition System along the Jammu-Srinagar highway at Navyuga Checking Plaza, Banihal, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel Police Station, Banihal.
In a statement, authorities stated that the technology will identify and track individuals involved in criminal activities, militants, OGWs, absconders, thieves, and drug peddlers.
SSP Ramban mentioned that the AI-based facial recognition system will easily help us detect and apprehend individuals with a criminal record.
“The technology's ability to identify a range of threats, from militancy to local crime, is expected to play a crucial role in maintaining law and order within the community," he said.
